Breaking Markell Endorses Adams-Mervine
Jul 15th, 2009 by David Anderson
This is expected news, but news nonetheless. What is interesting is that Mr. Book of Issues did not reference one issue in the endorsement. Read it for yourself.
Polly Adams Mervine is the Democratic candidate for the 19th Senate district. Her father, Thurman Adams, represented the 19th Senate district for over three decades until his recent passing a few weeks ago. Polly would be a wonderful Senator, and I want to help her succeed.
Polly is a life-long native of Delaware. She currently resides in Bridgeville with her husband, Jay and their son Stephen. She was a second grade teacher at North Laurel Elementary School and now owns a small business with her sister, Lynn.
Polly is extremely active within her community. She is a member of the Union Methodist Church and the former children’s church coordinator at Union Methodist. Polly is also a founder of the Fund for Women, a local mission that provides funding to enhance the worth and potential of women in Delaware. She is extremely passionate about Delaware. This is her home, and she wants to help make Delaware better for her son and generations to come.
All of these qualities make Polly a great public servant. She is very qualified to represent the 19th Senate district, and I am asking for your assistance. The special election is on August 3rd and she needs your support.

I voted for Markell, but my estimation of him just went down by …. oh….I don’t know….3,000 notches ?????
Blind party loyalty on both sides of the aisle has blessed us with plenty of drones. We don’t need another one.
More breaking news. Dog bites man.
Marketing like that gave my district Brian Bushweller. That was a bad choice for us. He ran the most family friendly adds with his kids and grandkids helping out. They made him sound like he was all about traditional family values. Then he gets into office and his votes are totally against traditional values. I didn’t vote for him because I knew better, but apparently enough people bought it to get him into office.
Don’t buy the fluff. Demand meat before you cast your vote.
I think the news in this is that the governor could not give one substantive reason to support his candidate. She has some work to do.
