Breaking Israel Insulted by announcement to build houses in D. C.

Mar 15th, 2010 by David Anderson

That would be just as silly as the regime in Washington being insulted by the announcement that Israel is approving a development in its capitol, Jerusalem. The regime had to make a little fuss to appease the Arabs since the Palestinians decided out of the blue some years ago that they wanted East Jerusalem as their capitol. Why? Just to stab at Israel. When they actually had control over the area, there was no serious consideration for it to be their capitol. On the other had, Jerusalem is the historic capitol of Israel since the 900 B.C. (E.) time frame.

The fact was that 10 months ago, Israel had approved the routine development. Palestinians who demanded that it halt or there would be no peace talks. A moratorium was issued for 10 months. The talks never came about. Now the regime in Washington wants to give radical concessions as a precondition to talks to a dangerous regime dominated by anti-Semitics. Not only do they appear to be against setting favorable preconditions for talks with terrorist regimes, but they expect our allies to give up everything as a precondition for the privilege of talking.

They just won’t let it go. It is time that we raise our voices and our prayers to encourage Washington to back off and support Israel or at least be neutral.

The Head of State who visited Washington, DC the most while Clinton was President was Arafat.
Could it have been his good looks?

So, why do Jews vote Democrat?

Mike – that is an excellent question that puzzles me to no end. I for one cannot understand how the Jews vote for Democrats overwhelming only to get undermined by them.
    It makes no sense.

    An interesting article: http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/11/symposium_why_do_so_many_jews.html

Jews vote D because of progressive values. American Jews were at the vanguard of the Civil Rights movement of the 1960′s, have been consistent supporters of social justice movement in America. Plus, as a people, they are generally very well educated. No doubt complex thinkers like Albert Einstein would be democrats today.

What we are witnessing is some of the change that we voted on. The real question is, with 6 million Jews and 1 billion Muslims in the region, why is American foreign policy so hostile to the wishes of the 1 billion? So subservient to the wishes of the 6 million Jews? We have seen allies come and go over time. Vietnam to name one. America foreign policy is for the benefit of Americans. Can we afford the endless trillion dollar wars necessary to defend Israeli expansion in the area? This is neither pro or anti Israel. It’s about the United States.

“The real question is, with 6 million Jews and 1 billion Muslims in the region, why is American foreign policy so hostile to the wishes of the 1 billion?”. None of the 6 million Jews are trying to kill us. Liberals are going to destroy Israel just as they will the United States. The only difference is Israel’s death will be a lot quicker than ours. The Obamanation’s kinder and gentler foreign policy is wasted in the Middle East. They are still fighting the crusades and see any type of conciliation as weakness. Anyone who thinks that absent Israel we would live in harmony with the Arab world is delusional.

Wrong. Arafat never had a state to the head of.

Ah, so it’s a numbers game, is that it? And “progressives” talk about American values — so much so that we should even grant every and all legal protections to murderous terrorists — yet just b/c there are many more Muslims in the world than Jews, we should allow the latter to be annihilated … because it’ll make our own lives [supposedly] easier and will cost less.

    Yes, very “progressive.”

LOL… because they are Americans first!

How condescending of you to think Jews will support Republican warmongering in the Middle East because it somehow helps Israel (it doesn’t, and they won’t).

Yes, it is baffling to you that Jews don’t support the party that keeps claiming America is a Christian nation.

Go ask some Sussex County Jews; maybe they can explain it to you.

Once you figure that out, they maybe we’ll work on the big mystery of why African Americans vote Democratic.

  7. on 16 Mar 2010 at 10:097Don

Anbupro, what is this “liberal” kinder gentler foreign policy you speak of? Something you heard on the radio perhaps. Their is certainly no evidence in the real world to support your stereotyping. Sounds like you might be stuck in the 1970′s worrying about George McGovern and the pacifists. Obama campaigned on turning up the heat in Afghanistan and authorizing drone strikes into Pakistan whenever we have a target, regardless of borders. Sound pussy to you? Ask all those terrorist kingpins getting hit by Hellfire is they the kinder gentler liberal hand of the Commander In Chief.

The issue of what Constitutional rights are extended to terror suspect arrested on US soil and to US citizens suspected of terrorism has been an ongoing legal issue vexing both Bush and Obama. The Supreme Court overruled Bush, the current law is still in flux. You make it sound like somebody wants to be “nice” when the truth is we have a Constitution to follow.

Just because you are Republican does not mean you have disregard the facts and spread lies such as the claim we are being kind gentle looking for legal loopholes to be nice to terrorist. The facts are we are annihilating as many of them as we can as fast as we can. More than before.

My question regarding Israel remains. Just a question. You may not agree, but we not permitted to question the heavy price we pay for being the sole ally of Israel in the Middle East? Is this some kind of religious belief or simply foreign policy? Times change. So do alliances. American foreign policy is for America’s benefit not for Israel. Are we willing to sacrifice our lives our fortune, along with the goodwill of all the other Nations in the middle East to defend an Israel that sticks a finger in the eye of anybody who questions their behavior? The whole world says no more new settlements. They just roll in the bulldozers and start expecting us, the USA, to bear any burdens of war their actions may incite. For what purpose are we so subservient to Israeli needs? How did we become so umbilically tied to Israel, that their fate has become our own? We are deep in war debt, our economy is vulnerable to Arab oil, we have installed a vast and costly Department of Homeland Security. All of this is tied to our mutual death pact with a tiny nation in a faraway place.

  8. on 16 Mar 2010 at 11:308Anbupro

“All of this is tied to our mutual death pact with a tiny nation in a faraway place.” Ever hear about 9-11? The Palestinians are, and always will be, a problem because the Arab world wants them to be. They are the sole remaining WWII DP’s and increasing in number. Israel assimilated all of the Jews expelled by Arab countries. Why don’t the Arabs do the same for the Palestinians? We’ve sent the Palestinians enough money to buy them all condos in Manhattan. Israel was attacked by the Arabs. Israel kicked their butts and took their land. When you pay for property with blood you don’t give it back.

  9. on 16 Mar 2010 at 13:239T123

I have no quarrel with Israeli ambitions. I’m glad they win their wars. But it’s time to declare it’s their wars, their neighbors, their problems, not ours. The tail is wagging the dog here.

If Israel wants to double their territory over there, it’s fine with me. My questions remains, why have we permitted the fate of America to be so indelibly tied to the desires of Israel? What exactly do we get out of the relationship? A ally on the middle east chessboard to counter Soviet aggression? That’s what the rational used to be.

Disclaimer: Not anti-Israeli. Although the ancient radical religious pursuits of the Orthodox Zionist Jews seem no less nutty than the Islamic extremists. They all call it the Holy Land then kill each other to prove who is the true keeper of the Holy. Conservative American foreign policy says we should not be dragged deeper in this foreign adventure. We should slowly back away. Tip toe. But away. I would raise the same issues if we were getting dragged into wars because we loved Uganda or Nigeria.
