Breaking: Daily Kos Reports New Endorsements to break for O’Donnell
Jul 27th, 2010 by David Anderson
Daily Kos has just reported that Concerned Women for America PAC and National Right to Work PAC are ready to endorse O’Donnell and Senator Jim Demint says he is impressed and may not be far behind. CWA called Castle “the second coming of Dede Scozzafava”.
“We endorsed Christine O’Donnell primarily because Mike Castle is so bad on our issues – he has a 43 percent overall rating and is pro-abortion, has voted in favor of so-called hate crimes legislation, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Castle is the second coming of Dede Scozzafava. We will be activating our folks so that they know about Christine’s campaign,” said CWA spokesman Mike Mears.

For all this attention that this blog is giving her, has Christine actually filed her campaign finance report due earlier this month, and what does it show? Has she filed her long overdue financial disclosure report that she hadn’t filed back in June because the dog ate her homework, or her lawyer got sick, or whatever her excuse de jure was?
Yep, it is almost all individual contributions. http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/cancomsrs/?_10+S6DE00131 As I recall the extention gave her to the middle of August for the nosy folks report.
When they got nothing else they always fall back to the same old tired song, even when it won’t play.
Heh…Frank. I was just sitting here smiling ear to ear at how damn silly these posters look about this freaking campaign report.
AS IF the world awaits breathlessly for the candidate’s campaign report. I bet they all sit outside the Rollins/Castle offices waiting the report that their lives not be boring.
I talked to Christine about her last report and the issues that has the Blue Bloods waiting with baited breath. I’m not even going to go there it is so very small.
Here’s the deal…I VOLUNTEERED TO DO THE DAMN CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORT!!!!!!! I can do it with my eyes closed and half my brain tied behind my back. I’ve been an Accountant for forty years, head of government contracting and hospital accounting offices…Controller for attorneys. And I know campaign finance laws.
Take a deep breath folks for this issue that has you breathing fire. She’ll get the campaign finance report done, put down your broomsticks!
Uh, guys, the campaign report is actually quite important.
First, it shows that the oh-so-wonderful Ms. O’Donnell has raised a pitance compated not only to Castle, but also to Coons. Any suggestion that she is a viable candidate in the general election with less than $100,000 on hand is plain silly.
Second, it again indicates she is paying her apartment rent by calling her apartment her campaign HQ. She’s also paying utility bills, comcast bills, etc. for her apartment, I mean…. campaign hq. Give me a break.
You’re right about her not having too much money. And if the size of a campaign coffer is your criteria to elect a candidate, well I do respect your right to choose but says a lot about you.
Not that us idiots out in la-la land don’t know that lots of money is an advantage. Many of us were born at night, just not LAST night.
But us silly boobs who carry this country on our backs won’t get all bent because a candidate doesn’t have millions on hand from those who’ll likely want rewards should the candidate get elected.
Don’t you worry your pretty head. If CO gets the pub nomination she’ll have plenty of money on hand.
For you to be so publicly condescending is in such poor taste.
We know she doesn’t have the funds that Castle, or Coons has. Quite a few of us have had to use our homes to work from in our pasts. We don’t necessarily think that’s some kind of campaign killer.
Silly us….we’re going on the issues.
When will we ever learn?
“You’re right about her not having too much money. And if the size of a campaign coffer is your criteria to elect a candidate, well I do respect your right to choose but says a lot about you.”
So what does this say about those who support Glen Urquhart?
This is a guy whose main financial support is his own money.
From the first day of his campaign all his supporters would talk about was the money HE would throw into his campaign.
If a campaign is capable of generating dollars from supporters then I consider that a sign of electability. Castle’s donations come from a broad and deep group of supporters.
Christine to date has not filed anything. This is despite the fact that she had a deadline earlier this month.
It is good to see at least the O’Donnell campaign is in better financial health, now showing $69,900 cash on hand and $11,700 in debt. For the first time since early 2008, her campaign organization is solvent.
But Castle’s sitting on $2,647,545 in the bank and no debt. Her supporters must admit that’s a mighty mountain to climb. David was even money versus Goliath compared to this.
First, it shows that the oh-so-wonderful Ms. O’Donnell has raised a pitance compated not only to Castle, but also to Coons.
Maybe that’s because of the ‘fat cats’ that always throw money at who they percieve to be the probable winner. Check-out Castle & Coons’ corporate contributors, and the amount$.
Castle’s donations come from a broad and deep group of supporters.
Or, a group of supporters with deep pockets.
TW, you must have read a blogger not the FEC report. I posted the link on comment two. It is there.
Those who choose their candidate based on the amount of money they can raise from corporate lawyers, end up with Mike Castle for a congressman. Mike Castle is still wrong on the big issues, no matter how much special interest money he can squeeze out of his lawyer and bank buddies. We need to focas on what is best for the nation, instead of how much money one candidate has. It is time to de-throne the ruling class, and Sept. 14th in the GOP primary is the beginning of the revolution within the GOP. Bye – Bye Mike Castle !
