There hasn't been contention of federal money for abortions in the thirty years since that was made illegal.

What is upsetting people about this amendment is that it presents the likelihood of woman having less access to what is their legal right: to abort a fetus, even when they intend to use their own money.

Mr. Noman....you are so lame.
Your argument is so damn dumb but it's okay, I laughed.

Because yeah, hey, the right to life movement is alienated because of my assertion that if one choose not to use birth control...and if the result is a pregnancy unwanted, then one has a right to a taxpayer paid abortion...sure they are.

Overlooking, as logic is not noman's forte, that the right to life movement does NOT espouse or promote abotion whether birth control is used or not. And Catholics, well most of them know that by not using birth control pregnancy might result. And Catholics, being smarter than your average noman, they don't want an abortion because of same either, silly noman.

But I worry as half the right to life movement is coming after me....heh. Gotta make sure I lock my doors, let me go check.

The fact is...as always...I AM RIGHT. Most pregnancies, go with me here, occur because somebody did NOT use birth control. Duh. Some would say ALL pregnancies result from not using birth control but I'm allowing for folks like noman...a really dumb name, and brave too.

This is a choice. The need for abortions is avoided when birth control is used. Somebody tell that fine, fine brave fellow with that splendid name of noman.

See, my questions steps over the questopm when life begins as pro-choice types think it begins at birth, others say at conception but my argument stops the dumbbells in their tracks, like certain silly responders with noman type of names.

Because no matter when you think life begins...IN ALL CASES ONE CAN CHOOSE TO USE BIRTH CONTROL!!

So why should taxpayers pay for their abortions?

Why can’t people use birth control?

Congratulations, you just alienated half the right to life movement, and the strongest half too (Catholics).

I love a good conservative schism!

I will give Nancy Pelosi one thing: she moves bills. Cap & Trade and a major takeover of health care in the same year? That's impressive. Economy-destroying, freedom-crushing and all-around terrible, but impresive. In fact, that the bills were so awful makes it more impressive that she was able to get a majority of her members to say yes.

I think some folks got conned. With or without abortion funding the Pelosi bill is an abomination. Some pro life democrats just got played and the crumbs Pelosi threw at them will be pulled away when any legislation comes back from the Senate.
