And the winner is…too close to call

NY Congressional District 20 (special election). Looks like absentee ballot time.

We are truly a divided nation and there isn’t a party out there that can claim otherwise.
BTW, Chairman Steele gets the credit for this, doesn’t matter what anybody else says. He identified this as his top priority. Good job!

You’d have to be an idiot not to recognize a special election in a Republican district as a ‘top priority.’

With all due respect, there are no more “Republican districts” – had he not brought in the bigger names to assist ala Giuliani, Fred Thompson etc, this would have been a cake walk for the Dem.
“…there are no more “Republican districts”…”
That is a question of semantics. Traditionally, a district is Republican (or, Democrat) when A) the party has held the seat for years, or B) the party outnumbers the other as to voter registration. While it may not apply in this case, nationwide, there are plenty of “Republican districts.”
I hope Steele does a good job, but I’m afraid that he’s another McCain; been drinking too much liberal ‘big tent’ Kool-Aid.
