Admirers of Mao and Marx while I despise both of them. Are you
you shocked that I would be unhappy?

He does care about making America better.

Right- with the considered guidance of his associates; a former domestic terrorist (Ayres), a lunatic preacher (Wright) and a supporter of Mao (Dunn). He probably has Alinsky's Rules for Radicals memorized.

BO is a political radical; this is why he won't release his college writings. This is also why he won't give-up on socialized medicine; it's not about healthcare, it's about power- virtually any human activity can be associated, and thus, regulated, under the guise of 'healthcare.' What type of car you drive, what and where you eat, where you work and how you get there, the size of your family, ..everything.

Just like the good 'ol USSR. BO might as well be Yuri Andropov.

David, just remember when you begin the post calling this a cross dressing regime filled with Marxists and Maoist that is against Americanism, then you do not speak up against extremism like 'communist bastards' - saying monkey nigger is not far behind. Stand up and be counted against this extremism.

Do you really think that some one who thinks President Obama is the N__r monkey in the whitehouse will listen to whatever I say? For the record, I continue to dismiss such incivility and extremism. That is why I refer to him as President Obama not Obama except after establishing the respect in the first mention.

The man did in fact inherit a mess. He is doing the best he knows how. He does care about making America better. I will agree with you that there is a poison in our political discourse. You see it with Bush burned in effigy and Palin images lynched for Halloween. You see it with the vicious wishing for the assasination of President Obama and the ugly racist attacks. Whether it is left or right, I reject it.

That said, I do not believe calling people out for their political philosophy and governance is illegitimate. I think it furthers our ability to deal with the important issues. We have to strip away the spin and get to the heart of the issue. That is what we do here. Sometimes we are right and sometimes we are wrong, but we always have an honest point.

David if you google the NASA budget requests, see what was cut, you will start to understand. The President said he's looking to the private sector to ramp up transporting people to the Space Station. We are working on a new generation of launch vehicles to replace Shuttle. It's all out there. Thinking is, we can use the Man On The Moon and Mars money better elsewhere.

By the way my wife just got an email from a distant business connection with a mass email copy all about how the President is trashing Social Security. She wrote back saying she did not agree. We then got an email with a picture of Obama his feet on the White House desk captioned "tell the nigger to keep his feet of our desk". I said don't write back she's a sicko. She wrote back anyway enclosing a picture of GWB with his feet up and saying the nigger email was disgusting. The last reply we got was "tell me good thing the monkey in the White House has done. He is destroying this country."

I'm telling you David, there is a sickness in the land that needs to be cured. If good people do not speak out, stand up against political extremism in our debate, in our language, we will live to regret it. This whole thing is way out of hand.

Obama is good for our brand....think?

No, he's good for your brand- Socialist.

The big players on the international scene (Russia, China, Iran) look at him as a naive pantywaist, with no foreign policy experience- which he is.

"Hope and Change...I Plan to Transform America" (in my own Socialist image)..BO

What I don't understand is why are we increasing NASA's budget a billion a year when we are canceling the mission. I want to see a new mission to justify the expenditures or I question why we canceled the mission. That is a typical move by this regime. It refuses to make a decision. Make a sensible one on either side and I will support it.

We don't have the money. We don't need to spend it on the moon. It is like buying a new sports boat when you are just about bankrupt. It may not be the time.

Anon, believe me we all want a return to sanity. Any suggestions? How would you do it? You take over a company where the old boss racked up $7 trillion in debt and set up a budget spending $1 trillion more than you take in? Other than badmouthing the new boss, what would you do?

The new budget FY2011 comes in at $3.8 trillion - along with a proposed 3 year freeze on non-defense non-SS Medicare spending. Only 14% or so of the budget falls into that category. 80% of the $3.8 trillion is national security, interest on the debt, things that are hard to cut. Maybe if somebody had enough sense to provide tax revenue to pay for the trillion dollar war and the new Medicare benefits they set up we would not be in such bad shape.

That was my conservative GOP buddies I voted for who did that. They promised they would do the opposite of that. GOP Congress. GOP White House. So now we kicked them out, now we're trying to figure out what to do. First order of business - prevent a Great Depression after they left town in the Great Collapse.

I think the new guys did maybe I hope stop the Depression.

President Obama is in the process of cutting some of the crazy extravagant ideas proposed by the previous debt addicted "conservatives" who were in charge - like putting a manned base on the Moon and sending a manned expedition to Mars. They wanted to do that while fighting a war and racking up the biggest deficits in history. Let's go to Mars! Put a base on the Moon! That's the act big bad Obama is following.

The deficit will be over $1 trillion. Where would you cut? Do you think it's good to cancel the Moon mission, not go to Mars?

That’s one proposal the new team is making that might help us starting digging out of the hole.

Because they need to talk about a proposal to pay as they go rather than just doing it.

It is much like 'we're going to cut the deficit right after we get done quadrupling it'.

You may be gullible but you can't be this naive.

Your belief that digging is the way out of a hole speaks volumes of your total lack of understanding of the problem from get-go

The new 'team' needs to stop digging. That's the point.

Anon,
I say: "Now it’s time for practical people using math to run things. That’s why I am rooting for this new management team we elected in 2008."

You say: Lies Marxist, Idiot, Left. WTF?

Google - anger, management, delaware

Do you know about the proposal to return to "paygo"- future spending and tax cuts have to be paid for? That's one proposal the new team is making that might help us starting digging out of the hole.
