20 New Offices to Enforce Diversity in Financial Reform Bill
Jul 31st, 2010 by David Anderson
Very interesting, while you all debate this I will be busy sending my resume to Wall Street. I am amazed that major policy changes are no longer being debated whether you agree or disagree that just does not seem proper.

Am I the only one amazed at the notion of 20 new offices to enforce some new mandate that everyone claimes to be ignorant to. We already have 45 years of infrastructure to enforce real civil rights. What will these guys do? Are they about forcing a pc remake of the an industry? I am all for encouraging diversity. I just never believed that mandating quotas is good.
In a free country, people shuld be able to choose their careers. I am not sure about Latinos, but many educated Asians tend to engineering and the sciences. Should they be artificially lured to finance? Many are already there, but do we not need to build our technical edge? Many Blacks who are educated go more for education and the social sciences because of networks and preceived needs in the community. Should they be told forget the next generation, go for finance? Many are heading in that direction. If you want to open it up take down artificial government imposed barriers on credit that did not exist years ago. Let businesses decide who can represent them minus certain criminals.
It is government regulation that caused part of the problem now government mandates are supposed to be the solution.
Why are Latinos separated out as a group? And why aren’t other Latins (French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian) given this same dispensation? Just what hardships have been put on Latinos where they are ALL deserved of preferential treatment in hiring (no one is deserved, but for argument’s sake, lets ‘say’ its legitimate)? Is it the Amerindian add-mixture? If so, where is the dividing line? For example, say you’re a blue-eyed son of wealthy doctors from Mexico with a ‘z’ in your last name, are you denied preference because you’re not ‘dark’ enough? Who makes this decision? Will the government start holding up color wheels to people’s skin? Will they force genetic testing?
Simply put, all race-based, ethnic-based preferential treatment via the meeting of arbitrary government quotas should be illegal per our Constitution. Particularly egregious is the INCLUSION of Latinos (as broadly defined) in this leftist, social engineering racial spoils system.
I think the courts do find them suspect, but by the time you fight through 7 years of court fights, they hope they will have had 7 years to remake the courts from the high court to the districts courts..
Well, if I had the money…I’d fight on.
This essentially reinforces the argument of those who have stated that the Obama Plan is not about financial stability but gaining control of yet another part of the Amercian Economy.
This guy in the White House is a divider. Everyone must be part of a group; gay, undocumented immigrant, our dedicated teachers, African American, ‘working’ families, progressives, the Right.
Just like BO’s good ‘ol USSR.
